Nice area, nice beach and piers. I saw the Sam Laud ship offloading at the gypsum plant. Big ship at 634 feet. Several working barges for the erosion work by North Point Marina. Michels is a big outfit doing very nice work on the lakefront.
Great place for a walk and summer ice cream for those who don't own a boat but enjoy beautiful lake views. There is a nearby beach that you need to pay to get in. We enjoy evening walks on the pier for years. Fishermen can try their luck as well. Looks like they started food truck's and music on weekend nights but don't know much about it so please do your research.
Beautiful Waukegan Harbor! Sometimes in life we don't realize how nice we have it. I live within a 5 minute drive of this harbor and enjoy it every chance I get. Some times a ride my bike I'll walk along the pier. There is a ice cream shopp and a outside bar with music and entertainment. Visit when you have a chance..
It sure would be wonderful if people wouldn't paint their ugly graffiti on the tower. It should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Completely disrespectful. Would they do it to their own house??
Very clean, relaxing, and overall a very pleasant experience. It was my first time here, so I wasn't sure what kind of experience i would have since I don't fish or sail, but it's a great area for walking around and talking. Really good ice cream available, and there's another small restaurant with outdoor seating, selling typical American fare. Didn't really have a taste for it, but if I ever come back, I would give it a try. The lighthouse was a bit of a let down, but that probably has a lot to do with my unrealistic expectations. Either way, I highly recommend coming here for a calm and relaxing experience
Great place to fish with plenty of space on the concrete peninsula. Parking was impossible to figure out. There are no bathrooms. The parking is there for the marina but it is card only. There are no signs for parking or the pier. You can get stuck in a dead end very easily.
Great view. You can see Downtown Chicago
🤠🤗👍⭐⭐⭐⭐A nice place to hang out in the mornings, especially on a nice cool crisp summer morning. A place where I take my granddaughters to look at the boats, birds, and like they call it, the big water, LOL. It's very peaceful and relaxing, you can interact with a combination of boaters, fishermen, recreationalists, and daydreamers. A lot of wildlife to interact with also.✔️✔️✔️✔️
